We will respond within 24 hours.

On average, we complete the orders within a week following acceptance of the quotation. We cannot guarantee with absolute certainty since it depends on the number of photos, its complexity, and our order queue.

If you have an urgent request, please contact us, and we will try to meet your deadline.

Our work is not complete until we have met your expectations.

The digital edition of old or deteriorated photographs is manual work with a certain margin of artistic interpretation by the professional.

Therefore, once you receive the restored images, if there is any element you want to change, we will modify it without any additional cost.

The cost of each photo restoration depends on the sophistication of the work.

We will provide an accurate quote upon viewing a copy of the photo and your work instructions. Upload your photos here for a free assessment.

On average, the time it takes to repair and enhance an image is two hours, but in some cases, it may require more than a day! The more detail the picture has, the longer it may take to complete, e.g., a portrait of one person vs. a family reunion or event with multiple individuals.

For your reference, see the following guide:

Nowadays, almost all home printers include the function to scan images with more than acceptable results for most jobs we do.

If you don't have access to a scanner, any printing shop can professionally scan and save your photos in a digital format.

Alternatively, you can take advantage of your phone's camera using an app such as PhotoScan, available for iOS or Android

See the section "What are the optimal settings for scanning my photos?" for instructions on the most appropriate resolution.

DIRECTIONS

  • ModePhoto mode (if photo or document mode is available)
  • Image format: Ideally, TIFF but PNG or JPEG are also acceptable
  • Resolution: Ideally 400ppi or 600ppi, especially if you intend to print and enlarge the photo. Minimum at 300ppi
  • Image TypeColour even if it is a black and white photo (select 24-bit RGB colour if available)
  • Additional adjustments: Do not make any changes, e.g., Brightness, Contrast, etc.

The closer the file is to our indications, the better we can work for an optimal result. That is why it is essential to start with a quality scan. Keep in mind that while you can always reduce the size of an image file, it is difficult to make a bigger image without seriously compromising the quality.

As TIFF files are not compressed, this is the ideal format for documents that we will use for processing. We commonly accept file formats for images such as PNG, JPG, JPEG, and GIF.

There is a direct relationship between image resolution (and so the file size) and photo quality when printed.

For your reference, below, you can see what we consider the minimum required resolution for printing your photographs.

  • 2.5" x 3.5" (6.4 cm x 9 cm) - 240 x 320 pixels
  • 4" x 6" (10.2 cm x 15.2 cm) - 480 x 640 pixels
  • 5" x 7" (12.7 cm x 17.8 cm) - 768 x 1,024 pixels
  • 8" x 10" (20.3 cm x 25.4 cm) - 1,024 x 1,536 pixels
  • 16" x 20" (40.6 cm x 50.8 cm) - 1,200 x 1,600 pixels

Yes, we can. Please scan them without removing the image from the album or the glass it is fused to.

Over time, there was an evolution of the quality of the materials and techniques used. Exposure to direct light, inadequate storage, humidity, and air pollutants degrade the photo paper. This deterioration will eventually reduce the detail and colour quality of the photo.
